Objective

The first player to claim 2 Locations wins the game.

Card Types

Hero card

Heroes

Leaders with unique abilities. Draw cards, play events, fight, and scavenge.

Survivor card

Survivors

Your main force. Play by discarding cards; used to fight, guard, and scavenge.

Item card

Items

Equipment/Contraptions/Special. Attach where allowed; boost stats or add effects.

Event card

Events

One-time effects. Exhaust a Hero to play; resolve, then recycle.

Setup

  1. Shuffle your 50-card deck; place your 3 Heroes outside your play area.
  2. Draw 5; optionally recycle any number and redraw the same amount.
  3. Shuffle the 16-card Location deck; reveal 3 face-up Locations.
  4. Randomly determine the first player.

Turn Structure

  1. Refresh: Move scavenge tokens, return Characters, claim Locations, refresh cards, ready/flip Heroes, draw cards.
  2. Action: In any order, any number of times — draw with a Hero, play an Event (exhaust a Hero), play Survivors/Items, attack, or scavenge unguarded Locations.
  3. End: Resolve any end-phase effects.

Winning Locations

During your Refresh Phase, if your scavenge tokens on a Location meet or exceed its requirement, claim it, gain its reward, and reveal a new Location.

Combat

Damage is marked with counters and persists. Survivors with damage ≥ Health are defeated (recycled). Defeated Heroes flip face-down and return next Refresh. You can always attack Characters in Warzones; you must clear the Warzone before attacking Characters at a guarded Location.
