Zalthori

Blue-grey seekers adrift in time—architects, warriors, workers, and beasts on a singular hunt.

Faction Identity

Zalthori are **time-benders**—they rescue tools from the recycle pile, lock positions in place, and chain actions to construct the exact timeline they need. Whether you prefer **engineering puzzles**, **disciplined warfare**, **economic scaffolding**, or **beast-led finishes**, one of their clans fits your plan.

Play this faction if…

  • You love **control through time**: rewinds, recalls, and delaying enemy plans.
  • You enjoy **toolbox plays**—engineering precise turns by retrieving the perfect piece.
  • You want a faction that can **pivot** between techy setups (Alfa), direct combat (Beta), economy (Gamma), and **beastly finishers** (Epsilon).

Overview

You **bend tempo** instead of merely racing or blocking. Rewinds deny enemy payoffs; rescue lines convert yesterday’s trades into today’s wins; engineering chains let you take **two steps in one turn**.

Weaknesses: raw speed before your engine is online; discard that disrupts your carefully set sequences; hyper-inevitability that ignores board states.

Lead Heroes
  • Xelara
Plays two event cards—an Alfa tempo spike.
  • General Kaelix
Beta spearhead; shares +[atk] bursts for decisive pushes.
  • Xyrrak the Resurgent
Recycle recursion specialist—turn the past into inevitability.
  • Beastbinder Tal’Zora
Epsilon wrangler—convert pain into board presence.
  • Oracle Xal Vorith
Double rescue—assemble perfect answers from scrap.

Main Mechanics

  • Time-Lock / Delay
Bounce, stall, or reset units/positions to undo the opponent’s tempo.
  • Recall / Recycle
Interact with the recycle pile—rescue, replay, or grow value from the past.
  • Engineering Chains
Play extra actions (⤵), duplicate effects, or assemble multi-step combos.
  • Construct & Fabricate
Workers (Gamma) build advantages—draw, resources, or board fixtures.
  • Temporal Assault
Beta casts deliver decisive strikes, sometimes returning safely after impact.
  • Epsilon Beasts
Homeworld predators with unique movement (Unblockable, phase, or storm-riding).

Clans of the Zalthori

Alfa clan art

Alfa

Architects of time: archivists, engineers, and reality-benders.

Alfa think in timelines, not turns. They fetch from the recycle pile, duplicate actions, and rewrite board states with surgical precision.

Signature Mechanics
  • Rescue / recall key cards from the recycle pile
  • Play extra events or chain actions (⤵)
  • Position resets and ‘rewind’ effects

Beta clan art

Beta

Warrior caste: disciplined shock troops and siege cadres.

Beta brings the hurt—troopers, artillery, and heavy armor that hit hard, withdraw cleanly, or time-lock the enemy into losing trades.

Signature Mechanics
  • On-attack bursts and lane dominance
  • Return / redeploy lines to preserve threats
  • Siege pieces that punish fortified locations

Gamma clan art

Gamma

Workers of the expedition: scavengers, cultivators, constructors.

Gamma powers your engine—consistent scavenging, building, and small efficiencies that make the ‘perfect turn’ arrive on schedule.

Signature Mechanics
  • Scavenge advantages and conditional draw
  • On-defeat / on-play triggers for value
  • Multi-card constructs that escalate over time

Epsilon clan art

Epsilon

Homeworld beasts: storm-fed wyverns, void-stalking predators.

Nature from another sky—massive herds, phase-cats, and storm wyverns. They break lines with Unblockable paths or rule the air itself.

Signature Mechanics
  • Unblockable / phasing routes to key locations
  • Predatory on-defeat and on-attack triggers
  • Board control via fear, storms, and mass

Story Spotlight — “A Second Ago, Tomorrow”

Xelara traced a spiral in the dust. “Two events, one heartbeat,” she said, and the sand obeyed, flowing backwards into the shape of a door. General Kaelix didn’t wait for permission—he stepped through, reappearing on the ridge as artillery marked a new present on the enemy’s lines.

In the valley, Xyrrak the Resurgent shook rust from a fallen frame and coaxed it back to motion, yesterday’s scrap reborn as today’s spear. Farther out, Beastbinder Tal’Zora whistled a storm-call: a Stormcarver Wyvern banked in the charged air, stitching Unblockable paths across the battlefield.

The defenders tried to pin them with certainty. Oracle Xal Vorith smiled and rescued it away. Their wall became a memory, their plan a rumor. Time buckled, and the Zalthori walked forward into the space where victory had already happened.
