Drones

Assemble. Iterate. Overwhelm. From factory floors to ghost code in the cloud.

Faction Identity

Drones excel at scalable engines and conversion plays. Military frames spike stats with Upgrade; Evertech keeps lanes tidy; Titan Foundries flood the map with temporary swarms; Hivemind scripts bank RAM for devastating commands.

Play this faction if…

  • You like **modular builds**: add tokens, slots, and attachments to scale.
  • You enjoy **engine play** and converting tempo into inevitability.
  • You prefer **utility and control** tools (reposition, rescue, disable, wipe).

Overview

Build a board that pays you twice: once from entry (Upgrades/Expedite), and again on exit (on-Defeat payloads). Foundries convert tokens into bodies and resources; Hivemind turns idle turns into RAM and then detonates the map on demand.

Weaknesses: hard silence on Items/tokens, exile effects that dodge on-Defeat value, and factions that punish wide boards before Foundries can cash in.

Main Mechanics

  • Upgrade X
Enter play with baked-in Upgrades (e.g., +[atk]/+[hp]); stackable power curves.
  • On-Defeat Payloads
Many drones cash out when defeated: draw, destroy Items, mill, or reposition.
  • Expedite / Redeploy
Consumer bots and couriers act immediately or move allies across warzones.
  • Defender
Security frames (ET/ MG) soak hits while cores spin up.
  • Foundry Tokens
Titan Foundries generate temporary drone swarms that convert into value.
  • Virtual & RAM
Hivemind processes can’t be attacked by non-Virtual units; spend RAM for brutal effects.

Clans of the Drones

Military Grade clan art

Military Grade

Hard-case frames with upgrades and explosive cash-outs.

Combat and assault platforms that arrive pre-modded. When they pop, they pay: draws, targeted damage, Item break, or intel.

Signature Mechanics
  • Upgrade X to spike stats on entry
  • On-Defeat payloads: draw, destroy Items, mill top-decks
  • Straightforward pressure lines with reliable math

Evertech clan art

Evertech

Utility consumer bots that keep your engine humming.

Tourist, courier, vacuum and security models do the dirty work—rescue drones, filter cards, move pieces, and arrive ready.

Signature Mechanics
  • Expedite to act the turn they drop
  • Rescue and reposition Drone Survivors
  • Defender frames to hold lanes; hand filtering

Titan Foundry clan art

Titan Foundry

Mobile factories. Build swarms. Convert tokens into value.

Foundry tokens spin up temporary drone waves—attack, scavenge, repair, or duplicate—then cash them in for cards, heals, or pressure.

Signature Mechanics
  • Put/remove Foundry tokens to manufacture drones
  • Convert tokens into cards or mass healing
  • Time-boxed swarms force awkward defenses

Hivemind

Virtual processes. RAM-fueled commands. System-wide obliteration.

Intangible subroutines that stockpile RAM and fire off catastrophic instructions—mass discard, global defeat, or burst draw.

Signature Mechanics
  • Virtual: can’t fight or be fought by non-Virtual units
  • Bank RAM tokens to unleash scalable effects
  • Self-sacrifice triggers for board wipes or massive draw

Story Spotlight — “Assembly Line Sunset”

Warspire-17 coughed another clutch of frames onto the sand. Far off, a courier’s beacon blinked twice—Deliverbot-2 had made the lane. The first wave hit and folded, but the payload paid for the second.

In the dust haze, a phantom process stirred. HX-4 wrote three lines of code into a dead terminal and the warzone went quiet, just for a breath—the kind of quiet where you hear the screws tighten.

When the Foundry lights cycled green, Lifeforge-4 shunted power to the wounded line, damage counters blinking out like distant stars at dawn. The map didn’t change at once. It never does. It just became inevitable.
